CONTRIBUTE A VOCABULARY

Neno Huru (meaning “free word” / “liberated word”) is a Pan-African feminist language movement working to enable African women and gender minority communities to participate in shaping African languages and narratives through which our identities, sexualities, lives and experiences are understood.

Neno Huru is made by women, trans, sex worker, and LGBTQIA+ led organisations across Africa. The founding member organisations are Generation for Development, Arts and Representation (GenDAR), Thriving Inclusive Community Organization (TICO), Mpakani Tunaweza Organization (MTO), Trans Movement Initiative (TMI), and Youth Solidarity Association (YOSOA).
